Daniel Mikhael Salon

17.03.13

I’m not in the habit of venturing to Marble Arch, that peculiar middle ground between Bond Street and Notting Hill. I guess I never really had a reason to wonder there until now. A friend of mine recently reccommended a salon there to me in Connaught Village ( you know where Tony Blair lives) and tired of the usual hectic salons of west London I decided to book an appointment at Daniel Mikhael. Founded by the Lebanese Danny, the salon is run by him and his brother and a few other wonderful stylists ( specifcally Mariella). A little art-deco wonder room, Danny and his brother Joe welcome you with their open body-builder arms and ask ‘so what do you want to do today?’

I have been to countless salons in London and none can compare to the family vibe of Danny’s, they are so thoughtful and the salon is calm and quiet, Joe will even pop into near by Chocolatier Coco Maya to pick up truffle treats mid blow dry. From highlights to blow drys to fringes- go and visit Danny and his team next time your hair needs some attention!

Morocco Surprise

13.02.13

I turned 22 on the 9th of Feb and one of my close friends turned 21 so her boyfriend organised a surprise trip to Morocco! The look on her face when she walked into the hotel and we were all there with her family was just the sweetest thing ever! 3 glorious days spent exploring the desert, souks and cuisine of Marrakesh and finally delving into my spring summer wardrobe. I came back to London and threw my party in a suite at  The W Hotel (where our FLASHTRASH pop up shop is!) that needless to say went on all night and ended in the early hours with room service aka pancakes.

A WEEKEND IN EDINBURGH

03.02.13

The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful.‘ – E.E. Cummings

I just came back from a wonderful weekend in Edinburgh. A weekend filled with delicious mussels at The Outsider, cocktails at Bar Kohl and a picnic in the highlands with a basket full of philosophy & poetry books. It’s hard when you run your own business to accept that you are allowed to switch off, yet in moments of idle thought, heated discussion, or whilst on a long walk great inspiration can be found.

Jewellery Style Fix

23.12.12

I’m a huge fan of Erickson Beamon, every piece I have ever bought from the brand whether in Lane Crawford in Hong Kong or the flagship store in London has been a trusty, sparkling companion on numerous adventures. Whether it be their statement necklaces or gliterring cocktail earrings, each piece is embedded with memories that stay in tact in my jewellery box far longer than the outfit I wore. So I’m thrilled we have a special collection of their jewellery now available at MYFLASHTRASH.COM with over 70% OFF!

Wearing Markus Lupfer Resort 2013 & Erickson Beamon Marie Antoinette Necklace

My favourite piece right now is this Assya Star Necklace £150 layered over everything its proving quite the luck charm. Whilst this dangerously sparkly duster by Erickson Beamon £135 is a bad ass take on the cocktail ring!

One To Watch: Jewellery Designer  Daniela Cardillo

I adore this Wine Unicorn Spike Necklace – £150. Cordillo hand dyes and plaits horse hair into these tough luxe necklaces to create an unusual texture.

Our Debut Own Brand Label Flash Trash Girl is receiving lots of love at the moment! a 50 piece range I designed back in June, the collection features rad trinkets all under £40! Check out the ’90’s themed neon tumblr and shop the range here!
