Last year I’d say at least one of my tweets a month was to a certain American entrepreneur regarding his mobile payment device that was making waves for small businesses in the US. It would go like this ME: ‘PLEASE BRING YOUR DEVICE TO THE UK!!!‘

HIM: …..no response. As MYFLASHTRASH is an online business we often found ourselves doing jewellery pop up shops, private sales, festival stalls etc with no card reader and we were loosing out on at least 50% of possible sales because of this…

So when IZettle contacted me and MYFLASHTRASH.COM in London about being one of the first company’s to use its card reader device ( that you plug into you iPhone/Ipad to take payments) I was literally like YES. PLEASE. NOW!!!!

After 6 months of under wraps BETA (where we took many secure jewellery payments!) this week when they went public with MasterCard. I took our first own brand label FLASH TRASH GIRL down to the press launch to bring rad neon ’90’s jewellery joy to people like Marion King The UK President of Master card and other such finance BOSSES. But seriously this is a major tool for start ups, 2.75% processing fee and a super slick. fast transaction that you can do anywhere, anytime.

To New Bond Street this week where the wonderful Camila Batmanghelidjh of Kid’s Company and the inspirational Erin O’connor have teamed up to create the Heart4Heart collection with accessories house Folli Follie. 25% of all sales from the limited edition range will go towards Kids Co to support its work with vulnerable inner city Children.

Normally in store parties can be quite tricky, but this one with balloon artists and a kids playroom had a sense of reality and cause, and in fact revealed the playful essence of the brand itself.

Brand Facts: Folli Follie is a Greek brand part of the FF Group which also owns Links of London and Hellenic Duty Free Shops .Listed on the Athens Stock Exchange in 1997, the brand has a big presence in Asia and recently used solely Asian models in its new campaign.

Had a lot of fun catching up with my twinny Amber Anderson (below) and playing with Portia Freeman’s darling little boy Dylan (I mean counting down the days to Burberry children campaign!)

I’ve been in California for the past 4 weeks on business and in between meetings and conferences I explored everywhere from Newport to Hollywood, San Francisco and Santa Barbara. It was like totally cool- apart from hearing taylor swift on the radio every 2 minutes. I mean I never what to hear that song again, EVER.
