So after a windy 72 hours in Trieste, a neat little fash pack flew back to London full of joy and wonder (and gelato) at the wonderful creations they had seen at ITS 2012. After a full day of interviews with Mark Fast, Susie Bubble, Carlo Bach (illy), Barbara Franchin ( ITS Founder) and the uber glam Vicki Sarge-Beamon (See Tank/Because + Grazia Magazine!), we spent the afternoon strolling around Trieste which is now totally everyone’s new fave Italian City. Quotes included ‘OMG theres a Sephora here. Ok thats It. I could live here.’ and ‘This Caprese is Major. I mean….’. Aside from silly frivolities we then got down to some serious business, and by that I mean attending a party. Mademoiselle Robot and I discussed the Fashion Cycle and Why Millenials dont want to buy stuff, as Philippa Morgan-Walker and Aitor Throup went into drinks and design philosophy. Before we all headed into the fashion show to celebrate the designers and find out the winners….*Drum Roll Please*
Diesel Award: Marius Janusauskas
Marius’s Sleeping Beauty collection was a romantic fantasy. Flirtacious and elegant, his feminine colour palette, full of dusty, dusk hues and delicate corsetry was a strawberries and cream dream. Mmm delicious fairy tale fun! Congratulations!
Fashion Collection: Ichiro Suzuki
It’s when you see a collection like Ichiro’s that you really wish you were a guy. Pixelated, geometric tailoring and jackets you just want to caress made the FROW go wiiiild baby. The level of detail and styling were so fresh everyone was like ‘Seriously I’m getting that for Fashion Week.’ I mean…..
Vogue Talent Award: Mark Goldenberg
Mark’s portfolio below details his inspiration of animal anatomy, and winged structures which translated into his clothes dreamily. A vibrant blue dress stole the spotlight; as delicate as a bird and complex as roller-coaster with extra thrills.
