Girls is an show on HBO in the US. And it is UTTERLY AWESOME. Created by Lena Dunham ( Of Tiny Furniture Fame) the show paints a hilariously realistic portrait of young women trying to make it in the city. Dissecting women’s idea of Romance Richard Brody commented in the New Yorker that GIRLS suggest ‘desire isn’t inherently progressive, rational, orderly, or constructive; it often entails ugly emotions, self-abasement, and even potential danger; and it’s the one vital source of enduring romance.‘

Not out in the UK yet but almost worth flying to NYC just to watch. Well an extra excuse to go anyway! xxx
