Big up Rooney Mara (a la Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Mila Jovovich (Fifth Element) and Natalie Portman (Leon ) The shoot I did for the new issue of USED magazine was a Latex lined cloudy dream of Gareth Pugh and Christopher Kane. The mag’s out now and you can check out more photos here ..accompanied by a retrospective on reality.
”I know she’s made to be strong, but she’s also so fragile, so human. Know what I mean?’-Father Cornelius The Fifth Element
Twenty8Twelve re-launched
07.04.12
Twenty8Twelve the brand usually associated with boho-chic and hippie style has suddenly become SERIOUSLY cool. I’ve heard fashion whispers a plenty among early adopters that this is London’s label to watch next season. So too impatient to wait I went to find out what all the fuss was about..
First off their new website is sleek, and not to mention perfect for pinning .This site is what the love-child of Pinterest and Tumblr would look like. Glossy, Covetable and curiously tactile, I find my hands creeping towards the screen in a bizarre urge to stroke the clothes. A craving I had the delight of fulfilling at the brand’s Fashion Week Presentation, and let me tell you something ladies the quality did not dissapoint! Cashmere, Silks, Wool and Leather all assembled in desirable shades of dusty pink, charcoal and burnt orange. #pleasegetinmywardrobenow
There are some seriously key pieces here for Autumn that I’m happy to invest in now. This violet peplum is one of my favourites and picks up on Summer’s candy coloured trend (that looks like it will last well into the Winter.)
Rumour has it the e-commerce site launches soon, so for now I’d say start pulling your favourite looks onto a discoveredd ( the fashion world’s Pinterest) board and then reward your collage work with another easter egg!
